Here is how to detox your body through your feet

Detoxing the body through the feet is an ancient Chinese technique, used by traditional Chinese medicine for centuries as one of the best ways to flush out the accumulated toxins in the body. The Chinese believe that there are energy points in our feet that connect to all of our organs and if we stimulate these points we can alleviate health problems that originate in the appropriate organ. In this article we’re going to present the best foot detox methods available and you can choose any one of them, as they’re all super effective in detoxing your body.

Ionic baths

An ionic bath uses the method of electrolysis to flush out all the toxins accumulated in your body. These baths usually combine salt and plain warm water and are really effective. Just soak your feet in the prepared mixture and leave them soaked. The water will soon turn dark, which is an indicator that your body is cleansed.

Salt bath for body detox

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 1 cup of sea salt
  • 2 cups of baking soda
  • 1 cup of ACV
  • A few drops of any essential oil


Fill a bowl with warm water and add the Epsom salt and the sea salt, stirring until everything is combined. Fill up your tub with warm water and pour the mixture in. Then add the ACV, baking soda and the essential oil and mix everything up. Soak your feet in this bath for about half an hour and all the toxins will be eliminated.

Clay bath for body detox

You’ll need:

  • Half a cup of Epsom salt
  • A few drops of any essential oil
  • Half a cup of bentonite clay


Bring some water to a boil and add the Epsom salt in it. Mix it until it’s dissolved and add the bentonite clay. Stir to combine once again. Finally add the essential oil and soak your feet in the mixture for about half an hour.

Oxygen bath for body detox

You’ll need:

  • 2 cups hydrogen peroxide
  • 1 tbsp. powdered ginger


Fill up your tub with some warm water and add the hydrogen peroxide and the ginger in it. Soak your feet in the bath for half an hour and that’s it. Aside from flushing out the toxins, this bath is good for those prone to skin allergies and irritations.

Foot detox pads

Foot detox pads are also a very good detox method; you can acquire them at almost any health store. All you have to do is place them on the bottom of your feet, secure them in place and leave them on during the night. Take them out in the morning and you’ll see they’ve turned black. For best results repeat the method every night.
