We’ve all had experience with dark patches on our skin, especially under the arms, on the neck or on our thighs. They can happen on account of a number of reasons but are most commonly caused by shaving, waxing, strong deodorants and sun exposure. They can be caused by some health problems as well, like diabetes, hormonal imbalances, gastrointestinal or genitourinary diseases and obesity.
Dark patches on the skin are not so much a health concern as they are a cosmetic issue and we all want to eliminate them. The best and cheapest way to deal with this issue is to use the following natural remedy. You’ll only need a few readily available ingredients and a few minutes of your time, but the dark patches will soon be a problem of the past.
Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. sea salt
- 1 tbsp. baking soda
Mix everything to get a thick paste and apply the remedy on all the dark patches. Leave the paste to do its magic for 20 minutes and wash it off with some cold water.
If you want to whiten your skin even more you can combine white clay, lemon juice and water and apply the remedy on the dark patches.
Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash it off.
Repeat the treatment 3 times a week until your skin is free of dark spots.
